Sample Tracks - Everybody Has 'Em

Every track on the Local Sounds Music Store has a 60-second sample track that allows you to preview the track before you decide to buy.

To make these sample tracks available, we offer 2 options:

When a visitor to our site clicks on the preview icon of a song, it opens an M3U file that starts playing the 60-second, 40k mono mp3 sample track from our servers. Don't worry, the file is never actually downloaded to their computer. It is only "streamed" to their computer.

The reason we stream the samples at 40k is because it allows them be heard by the widest range of people on different Internet connections (from dial-up to broadband) at the best possible quality.
